The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho is the book which I always go back to. I have a different take away whenever I read it and it has helped me to become wiser with time. Basically it is a fable about following your dreams and is a story of a shepherd named Santiago who dares to follow his dream/5(25K).
The Alchemist tells the story of a young shepherd named Santiago who is able to find a treasure beyond his wildest dreams. Along the way, he learns to listen to his heart and, more importantly, realizes that his dreams, or his Personal Legend, are not just his but part of the Soul of the Universe. Santiago is a humble shepherd whose desires are. Destiny. Fate. You may believe in it and you may not. I recently read the book 'The Alchemist' by Paulo Coelho. It has been around for a number of years and I was a bit late to read it, but I am glad that I did because it is among one of the best books I have ever read (which is probably the reason why it has already sold millions of copies around the world). In , PAULO COELHO did the pilgrimage to Saint James of Compostella, an experience later to be documented in his book The Pilgrimage. In the following year, COELHO published The Alchemist. The Alchemist (Portuguese: O Alquimista) is a novel by Brazilian author Paulo Coelho that was first published in Originally written in Portuguese, it became a widely translated international bestseller. THE ALCHEMIST WAR From the Time-Tripping Faradays series, Vol. 1 Where the book fails, however, is in its overuse of descriptors and dialect and the near-sociopathic zeal of Rose Lee's grandmother Ma Pearl and her lighter-skinned cousin Queen. Ma Pearl is an emotionally remote tyrant who seems to derive glee from crushing Rose Lee's Author: John Seven. When the Englishman goes to the alchemist he makes him start cooking up some lead as a first step towards becoming an alchemist himself, so he's pretty busy with that for the rest of the novel. Santiago goes out into the desert where he has a vision of the oasis being attacked. He tells the tribal leaders, who decide to get ready to defend. Although Seven’s explanations of 25th-century technology slow down the novel’s early chapters, readers should be drawn into the siblings’ comical misadventures as they investigate whether an alchemist is trying to pull a fast one over on the Holy Roman Emperor. A second book, The Dragon of Rome, follows in October. Final art not seen by : John Seven. A recurring dream troubles Santiago, a young and adventurous Andalusian shepherd. He has the dream every time he sleeps under a sycamore tree that grows out of the ruins of a church. During the dream, a child tells him to seek treasure at the foot of the Egyptian pyramids. Santiago consults a gypsy woman to interpret the dream, and to his Author: Paulo Coelho.
